See how drones support eight real US workflows. Compare the buyer’s task, documented evidence, integration requirements and a proposed acceptance plan before requesting a technical review.
Discuss your projectRTK, checkpoints and the delivered map
A fixed GNSS solution describes positioning, not the accuracy of every point in a map. A mapping workflow also needs the coordinate reference, antenna-to-camera offsets, exposure timing, camera calibration and independently surveyed checkpoints. Separate horizontal and vertical errors.
Navigation without reliable GNSS
Indoor inspection needs local position and recoverable evidence when satellite positioning is unavailable. Visual or LiDAR-based localization can help, but darkness, dust, repetitive surfaces and movement can degrade it. Local coordinates must be tied to an equipment reference before a defect can be revisited.
Dock, communications and human control
A dock is one part of an operating system. Site power, connectivity, weather limits, launch checks, a responsible operator and a recovery process must work together. Keep flight-critical control onboard; explicitly assign remote supervision, data transfer and cloud processing. Automatic launch does not establish permission for a particular operation.
Payload and mission-computer integration
Start with the measurement or delivery task. Define mass, center of gravity, stiffness, vibration, power, cooling, connectors and data interfaces before a mount is machined. A mechanical fit alone does not prove electrical, software or airworthiness compatibility. Use a supplier ICD where available and freeze its revision.
From sensor data to a reviewed decision
Capture → validate → upload → review → act. Preserve timestamps, asset IDs, original files and processing versions. Edge software checks completeness locally; cloud processing may build models and distribute review tasks. A maintenance owner accepts an observation and records the resulting work order. Counting flights alone misses the outcome.
Configuration-level supply-chain qualification
“Non-red” is a buyer requirement that needs a precise definition. Company headquarters, NDAA statements and a Blue UAS entry answer different questions. Confirm the purchased SKU, radio, payload, software, cloud access and component provenance against the buyer’s actual requirements. Freefly’s radio-dependent configurations show why a company-wide label fails.
