01 / Start with the work

03 / What the buyer receives

Deliver original images, a coverage map, defect locations and a reviewer-approved report. A visual survey does not replace a required thickness measurement or other NDT.

04 / Acceptance and measurement

Proposed acceptance: agree smallest visible defect, coverage, location tolerance and unreadable-area handling. Record preparation, entry, flight, review and total elapsed time separately.

05 / Limits and failure modes

Dust, darkness, metal, airflow and radio attenuation can defeat an otherwise usable system. Confirm environment suitability, retrieval and operator stop rules before a trial; ordinary aircraft are not assumed explosion-rated.

06 / Decision and responsibility

Candidate roles: maintenance owner defines the defect; inspection specialist approves the method; site safety approves access; procurement contracts the scope.

07 / Prepare a scoped request

Potential RFQ: protective structures, sensor mounts or traceable inspection data. Supply an access drawing, environment limits, sample defect and required report; delivery capability is reviewed before quotation.
